A Digital Tensile Strength Tester, also known as a tensometer, is a tool used to measure the strength and elasticity of materials, such as metals, plastics, fabrics, and composites, by applying tension to the material until it breaks or reaches its maximum tensile strength. The accuracy of the machine is within permissible limits as par IS:1828 The tester typically consists of a load cell or force sensor, a mechanism to apply tension to the material, and a digital readout or indicator that displays the tensile strength measurement. Models available from 10 kg-f to 5000 kg-f.
